HELP! I have been hit with the Blaster Worm virus as well
as Welche Worm and Nache Worm. I have antivirus
protection but it did not prevent them from infecting my
computer. I have tried numerous times to download the
Patch to remove the Blaster Worm virus from my computer
but it will not download,I keep getting a "failed to
install message". What am I supposed to do? I also have
not been able to download many other critical updates, it
just won't let me do it. HELP!!

Read the notice about applying that patch.
You have to do several things before you actually download and install
the patch.
Have you done those things?

I would certainly switch to a different antivirus program. I use Norton
AntiVirus 2003 and 2004 (different computers) and the programs "always"
catches those virii.

Those AV apps are alright I guess. To me they
are on an equivalant with riding a motor vehicle
150 mph on city streets just because one has a
helmet on their head. Many other precautions
must also be taken. --firewalls, OS patches,
don't open attachments in emails, do not use the
preview pane etc, etc--
