recently I was at a freinds house he was telling me he couldn't utilize his
PC anymore. I inquired and found that he has some sort of virus that when he
tries to open any operations on his system the notepad opens and a screne
full of garbage fills the notepad screne. This happens on every thing except
Mozilla Firefox. Nothing else will open of function in any manner. I
couldn;t even get his anti-virus software to open. I couldn't even use my
win-cleaner. How can I clean this mess?

more of the free on-line scanners to double-check the system.
