How can I get rid of A Trojan Horse virus if my Norton
software will not let me repair or quintine it

Depending which one it is, as you didn't say, go to
http://vil.nai.com/vil/stinger/ and download Stinger and run it. That prog
will get rid of 44 of the more recent nasties in one pass as opposed to
Nortons who require you to download 44 different removal tools and run them
one at a time to achieve the same result.
