I inadvertantly opened an email attachment that I thought
was from my daughter. However my daughter doesn't get
into that kind of stuff. It opened page after page
before I could get it shut down. Norton antivirus picked
up four virus' in the process. Although I not longer
have the virus I now have an autobookmark that is taking
me to a website that is a tremendously less that savory.
I have tried to remove it from system registry and it
also inserts itself into my Favorites page along with a
few other less that nice links. My question is whether I
can remove the problem. If not how do I remove ie 6 and
start over hoping that it has not progressed to any other
area of my computer. I also continue to receive "now,"
pages from evidence eliminator wanting me to purchase
there product. This is really becoming a pain. My
browser after removing all of this stuff REFRESHES on its
own taking me right back to the problem page. When I
shut down or log off and then back on the same thing
happens. Am I relegated to wiping the entire drive clean
and starting over? Someone please help. Thanks Ed.
