Susan

I keep on receiving several e-mails from Microsoft the
subject is always: MS INET Message Service, Admin or
Postmaster and a window is popping up saying MAPI32
Exception now, I know for a fact that Microsoft does not
e-mail anybody so, I know it's a virus. I've scanned my
computer several times as I was told it was the SWEN.worm
but it's always coming back saying "no virus found"
Is there anything I could try to do to get rid of this
virus on Windows 98 and Windows XP which are on a wireless
System.

Thank you for your help.

Someone else has the virus. They likely have your email address in their
address book so you are being sent these virus emails from them. Create a
rule in your email client to delete the emails. or, Get a virus checker
that will check your emails for you and delete them.

Susan,
From the sound of your note, you DO NOT have an
infection on either of the two machines you mention.
Rather, you have the dubious honor of being the
recipient of the mass-mailer worm: "W32.Swen"

My e-mail address somehow, it seems, landed on
the worm's source machine. I was receiving about
15 to 20 such e-mails each hour, 24/7. I complained
to my ISP, but they couldn't/wouldn't take any overt
actions to block the e-mails, so I finally had to change
my e-mail address. My old e-mail address continues
to get hammered, so that ID's mailbox allocation is
continually "maxed out". To make matters worse,
even my new e-mail address receives about 10 to 15
of those pesky postings each day.

My heart bleeds for you!

Regards,
Bill Stanton
