Hi Guys

I am wondering if you can help me

A while ago my computer got infected with a virus which screwed up IE
slightly. I could open IE but the window didn't have the status bar at the
bottom. NAV picked it up during a routine system scan and I ran the relevant
fix tool which worked

Now the same thing has happened. I ran NAV but it said my system was clean.
I can't remember the name of the virus last time but I think it was BLASTER.
I ran the blaster tool from Symantecs website but it hasn't picked anything
up

Does anyone know the right name of this virus so I can run the correct fix
tool? Or can anyone tell me how else to fix IE?

I would really appreciate some help

Thansk in advance

Francesca

Sometimes my status bar disappears after a page loads.
If I click "view" at the top of the IE window and checkmark
"status bar" again, it comes back.

Hi Sanjaya

Thanks! I didn't think to look in "view" as I just assumed it was the virus
that I had before that had caused it

Thanks loads

Fran

After you turn it on, I find it =stays= on better if you close the IE
session with file, exit, or file, close, whichever it is, rather than
using the 'X' at the top right. The latter seems to dump changes
(including window size and position).

Thanks GSV

I'll bear that in mind, thanks
