virus?

Whenever I get online my computer will start typing on
its own.Is this a virus or somthing more serious? The
type is usually gibberish or short words like but but the

No, it's not a virus. Let me guess -- do you have Office 2000 or Office XP
installed? If so, the "ghost typing" is a known issue that is fixed by
disabling the speech recognition tool of Office.
