I"m not sure if I should post this here or in the Security Forum so I'll
start here and repost on the Security Forum if instructed to do so.
When I send a Fax from MSWord I get a warning from Norton Antivirus Worm
Protection that it has prevented and blocked a Netspy Trogan Horse. This
happened four different times today when I sent a Fax. Is this a false
report or glitch with Norton Worm Protection or did it really block the
Netspy Trogan from entering my computer? I didn't think this could happen
using a dial-up modem to send a FAX. (I am connected to the internet with a
DSL modem but can't Fax with it).
Here is the Norton Alert details:
Default Block: Netspy Trogan Horse
Path: C:\WINDOWS\Systems32\fxsclnt.exe
File Name: Microsoft File Console
Direction: Inbound
Local Address: All local network adapters
Local Port: 1024
Protocal: TCP
