I recently downloaded a file that was said to contain a
Trojan in it. I installed a virus scan and remove progam
and it seemed to take care of the problem. I then
downloaded Anti-Trojan and ran a scan. It said i had no
Trojans but had open port with possible trojaners. I
recicieved that message about 4 different times. I'm not
sure what that means and if it is something to worry
about.

One way to detect trojans is to find processes that have ports open
(listening) for incoming traffic. If there are ports open that can't be
associated with Microsoft services or other installed software, this is
an indication of a trojan, especially if the ports are high-numbered
(above 1024, usually above 5000).

Run "netstat -ano" on XP to see what processes have ports open. If you
find a PID that you can't see in Task Manager, that is another strong
indication of a trojan.
