I use NOD32 as my anti-virus program.
Are there other online anti-virus scanners
that use different parameters when scanning?

Here are some online virus scanners:

http://housecall.antivirus.com/housecall/start_corp.asp - TrendMicro
online scanner
http://www.pandasoftware.com/activescan/com/activescan_principal.htm -
Panda online scanner
http://www3.ca.com/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx - Computer
Associates
http://www.antivir.ru/english/www_av/ - DialogueScience
http://support.f-secure.com/enu/home/ols.shtml - F-Secure
http://www.bitdefender.com/scan/license.php - BitDefender
http://www.freedom.net/viruscenter/index.html- Freedom Online scanner

However, I never suggest using an online scanner for serious virus
removal because you don't want to be on any network at all when doing
malware removal and you need to do all scans in Safe Mode.

you dont have to be in safe mode to do a virus scan unless you have a virus
that cant be fixed/terminatd/deleted in normal os running mod, wich is in
this case, the virus that remains in the resident mem of your os wich will
involve running you pc in safe mode and be able to terminate it.

No, you don't *have* to be in safe mode to do a normal virus scan. If
you suspect you have a virus or malware though, you should do the scans
in Safe Mode. Of course, my approach to viruses and scanning comes from
the fact that I do the cleanup for a living. The machines that I get
are infected and it would be a waste of time for me to do a scan in
Regular Mode. Naturally on my own Windows machines, regular virus scans
are done in Regular Mode.

Hope that clarifies my previous statement.
