virus scan

while performing virus scan the program stops at windows\system32\microsoft\protect\s-1-5-18\user. It appears to be running yet it is not. i have not had acomplete scan in some time yet it does not show any infected files or virus.

Hve you checked the contents of that folder?, tried a diferent antivirus
program?, tried an online virus scan?
