I stumbled upon a virus scan site which enables you to submit suspect files
for free checking. Although the site itself does not have freeware I
consider it OT as it compares results from various freeware scanning
programs.

Frank, do you mean on-topic or off-topic? Generally speaking, I
believe OT refers to "off-topic".
