Is there an icon in the system tray? If so, right-click it. If not,
click your Start button and then Programs (or All Programs), and look
carefully through the menu.

Right click the Blue Icon on your Notification area and select from the List
turn Virus Protection or double click the Icon and Go through the settings to
enable Virus protection and run a scan.
HTH.

It was probably turned off by a virus. Start Avast! antivirus, and
after the memory scan, click the little arrow in the upper left corner
of the control panel, select "Schedule Boot-Time Scan...".

Restart the computer and when prompted twice for what to do, press the
#2 key to select, "Delete All". The second prompt will be when Windows
folder is accessed.
