Virus Problem

Hi guy,

My PC ha been patched with KB823980 to against Blaster and
Welchie viruses. Recently I receive email from MS
Corporation with attachments, because my Symantec detected
the viruses from these emails, so I delete them
immediately. But after all that, when I run scan KB823980
again, it say my PC is not patch.

Please anyone tell me why?

I don't know much about the patch except that it is a

scanning tool for system administrators to identify host
computers that do not have the patch, but I do know that
Microsoft does not send E-mails with attachments. These
are fake E-mails but they look real. Microsoft is aware
of them but they don't know where they are coming from.
Go to Windows Update and get all the security patches,
update Symantec and scan your system. Another security
measure you can take is Winpatrol www.winpatrol.com it
will tell you if anything goes on your computer without
your knowledge and helps you keep your startup clean.
