Virus or Update

Hi,
Sometimes I am getting this email from (e-mail address removed) ,is
this a real update or is a virus or worm ? It is include a EXE file ?!

Microsoft does not send files with updates and security alerts.
 
Thanks Michael, Is there any news group like this, include classified
section for people who are looking for job ? I am asking this because
Autodesk has one for their products.

You're welcome.

I'm not aware of one specifically for Microsoft but there are some websites
that have job postings, www.job.com for one and there is a site that will
also let you post your resume as well. Unfortunately, I've the name escapes
me at the moment but you might try running a search on www.google.com using
post resume or post your resume and see what comes up.

I downloaded Smiley Central (MyWeb came with it and so did a lot of other things) My Administrator at work and told everyone that Smiley Central and MyWeb are viruses, is this true, and if so how do I remove it from my system. I've tried going the Control Panal/ add or remove programs, but it still exsists on my computer.
 
MyWeb appears to be a legitimate browser, whether or not it ads spyware
which many consider to be a form of virus I was unable to determine but if
you download, install and run Ad Aware, www.lavasoftusa.com, it might be
able to determine if that is the case. From what I could find running a
search on Smiley Central on Google, it appears to be known spyware and
again, may well be the reason for your Administrator's comments.

Understand, spyware reveals things about the users habits and sends
information about the user and possibly what is on the computer and as such
may be considered a breach of security in an environment such matters are
important.
