Folks,
Can you explain the reason for the following:
My weekly virus scan ran tonight. Norton Anti-Virus, with latest virus
update. It found a virus (Trojan.ByteVerify) in
"Count.class-42fad49f-12013484.class" ...whatever that is!!! But the same
scan did not find it a week ago, which suggests I obtained it (somehow) in
the past week. This would be fair enough as NAV has done its job,but......
Checking the Symantec website it suggests the fix to the virus becoming
resident in the first place was an update (via Windows Update) 816093:
Security Update Microsoft Virtual Machine (Microsoft VM)... that I installed
back on 26th April 2003.
"Damn...cant change back from BOLD text...sorry"
So what's happened? Am I misunderstanding the purpose of the update? Any
help or clarification would be appreciated.
(Again, sorry for going BOLD but Outlook Express won't let me do a Cntl.B on
the affected text.)
