Hi

My system was infected with a w32.hllw.gaobot.gen virus. It started as
ntsyskrnl.exe with windows. After some struggle i was able to remove it with
the help of norton AV 2004 (i'm sure its gone now) but still I can't
connect to AV-software websites like mcafee.com/ symantec.com and so on. My
internet connection works, but i am not able to connect to such sites. Also
norton AV live update doesn't work because a connection can't be established
to symantec download server.
What can i do to remove or reverse this problem?

Thank's a lot for any suggestion

Are you familiar at all with a file named hosts on your PC? Use your
file find feature to track it down. View it in a text editor. Let us
know what some of the lines read.
