Virus in Temporary internet files =/

hi.

i did as you both said but its the same..when i start the
cc cleaner a frame comes up that sais cccleanr.exe has
generated a fault and has to close ( i`m trying to
translate from swedish ) and same when i try to access the
temporary internet files..it sais explorer.cc has
generated and so on..when i try to remove the "earlier"
from the temporary i can remove coockies and files but
when i go for the earlier it sais:
c:/winnt/system3/inetcpl.cpl..and a couple of folders in
my computer are showing like not the same colors as the
others ( yellow ) but kind of faded..strange..i cant
wright anything in the browser ..it freezes and so on..i
have a laptop by the way..compaq evo n 800c / windows
2000..i hate this shit =/

Have you tried in Safe mode or under normally running Windows?
c:/winnt/system3/inetcpl.cpl..and a couple of folders in

My suggestion for you is to check the atributes of that file and folders -
they are probably just marked as hidden :-)

Windows 2000 is one of the most stable Windows versions, the source of the
problem lies somewhere else I think..
Have you checked the Event viewer? Any error reports there?
Have you maybe checked the memory, using such tool as memtest86+ or
goldmemory?
Have you checked the computer with hijackthis (copy and paste the report to
the http://www.hijackthis.de page and click Analyze)?
