I have a virus in my system restore folder. What would be the best way to
get rid of it without causing any harm to the drive/info on it? I was
thinking about turniong off system restore and maybe that would delete any
info in that folder but I am not sure how it works. I am using AVG free
version, although it detects the virus in TSR memory, when I do a scan it
does not detect it.

Hi,

I turned system restore off, re-booted and turned it back on. That seem to
have gotten rid of the pest. Thanks for the help. Win XP sure is a lot
different (and much better IMHO than Win 98, but then again Win98 was much
better than just the old C:\> prompt :-) Kinda makes me wonder where all
this is gona top out at.
