Yesterday one of my children opened an email with a virus.
Our virus software immediately caught and attempted to
quarantine the affected files. However, after rebooting,
we can no longer log in. When I log in I see the picture
background of my desktop for just a second, then see the
message "logging off..." and it returns to the login
page. I have tried reinstalling the XP Home OS from the
OEM CD that came with my computer, and have also tried
booting up in safe mode, but nothing seems to make a
difference.
I am hoping there is something else I can do before
reformatting my C: drive and reinstalling everything. Has
anyone seen this before?
Thanks--
