Virus definitions & Swapfile config under user account

I have 2 questions about non-administrative accounts.
First, I am using Norton Antivirus 2002 on my
workstations, which requires Administrative access to
update definitions. I do not have the users set up with
Admin. access, but I would like to have Liveupdate run
automatically once a night without having to log on as
Admin. What is the best way of doing this?
Second, I use hard drive quotas on the workstations to
limit the amount of data a user can keep local. I would
like to know if it is possible to give the swap file
created under the user account Administrative permissions
so that it can access the entire drive, not just the space
the user is assigned. Thanks,

Hi

I had exactly the same problem 2 years ago

What I wrote was 3 different programs

1) Create the definition name & download the file off of
SARC
2) With that file you can run command line switches to
unzip the virus def's & backup the exe file
Copy new virus files to a shared folder on the server &
sends over two remote networks
3) (Running on the workstation on bootup) Copies from
shared folder to the incomming folder for Norton
Antivirus. Then it opens Norton Antivirus (to update
def's) & closes it again (Invisibly).
