Virus Bulletin testing

correct me if i'm wrong, but the VB 100 testing only uses about 300
viruses, worms, and trojans. it uses the "in the wild" list. i don't
even see Optix Pro or the Beast on that list.

so VB 100 may mean something, but it's not the end-all be-all of virus
testing. unless i misinterpreted their site.

perhaps because those are not known to be in the wild?

i don't know anyone who said it was the be-all and end-all of virus
testing, but there's certainly a lot more to it than you seem to
realize... vb100 is a subset of the test results from the full
comparative analyses they do (which are included in their non-free
publication)...
