I loaded Microsoft's AntiSpyware. It seems to have
worked well except that it cannot get rid of
Virtumonde.B. Anyone have tips on how to do that without
buying the anti-spyware that is peddled by Virtumonde.B?
I refuse to pay protection money to the adware mob.

Thanks Andre. I'll give it a try. Pretty annoying
stuff, this adware. Hopefully Microsoft's tool can keep
my computer clean in the future.
 
Also - submit tools, suspected spyware report to detail that this isn't
getting cleaned, and:

restart OS in safe mode, and do full, deep scan with Microsoft Antispyware
(and your antivirus) until a scan comes through clean.
 
Get HijackThis.exe from
http://tomcoyote.org/hjt/hjt199//HijackThis.exe

Save it to C:\hjt (new folder) then Open it and select
Scan and Save Log. Note where you saved the log then
send it to me as an attachment. Put Hijack in the subject
so I'll know it's not spam.
