Vista Ultimate SP1
Have setup virtual pc but cannot connect to internet.Do I need a router to
make this work ?

I have att highspeed internet & it works ok on my vista setup but when I
try to connect the vpc it says there is a conflict & that ip address is in
in use by another machinbe

Try setting the Networking to NAT (Shared Networking) rather than the
built-in Ethernet - that usually works.
