Here's a question... would MS Antispyware work on Virtual
PC? Haha.. (and no I don't have that software)

Yes. And it works with Longhorn under Virtual PC too.

Yes it does and thats probably the safest way to test pre-production
software, thanks Menno concerning compatibility with Longhorn.

But rather slowly?

*Everything* in Longhorn in Virtual PC runs slowly.
Proportionally, I don't think MSAS runs any slower than anything else.
Slowest thing about Longhorn is getting it to boot up. After it's going
it's not too awful bad, but slow nonetheless.

I have Longhorn running on a removable cartridge. I also have VPC running
on Longhorn, hosting Windows ME.

Haven't booted it in months though!

Now that's putting Longhorn to the test!
VPC in the first place.... then ME.
ME.... arghhhh

I thought it would be a good test. As I recall, I wasn't able to get
network access from the VPC under longhorn, but I was brand new to both
technologies, and may not have done something right. Getting to be about
time to dust off the drive and look at doing some more useful work with
it--like getting my main XP install off the full 6 gig partition it is on.
(about 100 megs free--and running like that for many months now.)

Since we are talking about Longhorn, I've fired it up and am posting from
it right now. So far the only unconquerable problem I've had with Longhorn
(under VPC) is that I can't get my modem to install. I don't use the modem
anyway, but you know.... :-)
I wonder what would happen if I installed Virtual PC in Longhorn (like you
did), only Longhorn is already running under Virtual PC. I'll bet it would
confuse something!

Well - I have run VNC to look at a VNC server which turns out to be the
desktop I am running it on. You know the effect with mirrors on both walls
of the barber shop or wherever...... It looks a little like the cards at
the end of solitaire, until you kill it quickly fearing what might happen
over time.
It might confuse something--but then again...
