virtual momery

my new computr sometimes gives me a message saying its making more virtual memory because it doesnt have enough-i dont have alot of programs on it so-if anyone can tell me where i might look for this or explain it more fully i'd appreciate the info-it also said i could go to help-but when i did-i didn't see anything about low virtual memory?

Rt click MyComputer>Select
Properties>Advanced>Performance>Advanced>Virtual Memory-Change.
HIghlight the Drive ( usually C: ) that you want the Vir Mem on and
choose Custom Size. Type: 600 in
both boxes Inital and Max and then click on Set, OK.

R.click my computer,properties,advanced,virtual-memory,click the chang
button,youre settings are displayed.Its best to set at,let windows manage,chk th
box,click set button 2X,then close out.Min.should be at 1 1/2 X ram,Max. 3X ram
having or purchasing more ram gets you more virtual memory too,setting a secon
slave drive to the os,then set as page file gets you more also.

More ram gets you more ram and not any virtual memory. Virtual memory
resides on your hard drive.

Actually in Windows XP the term Virtual Memory means the total memory
address space available to the computer which is the sum of the
physical RAM plus the paging file.
