Immediately after booting up, I get a warning message that
my 'virtual memory' is low and that Windows will add more
space for it(memory). If Windows is upgrading this
problem, why does the message appear every time and what
can I do to rectify this?

Thanking you in advance,
Margaret Singleton

Try R.clicking my computer,properties,advanced,virtual memory,change button
the settings should be, 1 1/2 X ram Min.,Max is 3 X ram.If you adjust,click set 2X
then close-out.The best setting is usually,"have windows manage".For more virtua
memory, increase youre ram,the cards are fairly inexpensive, setting up a second hd
then letting windows manage doubles virtual memory.

.
start--control panel--performance and maintenance,click
the system icon--click advance tab--under performance
click settings--click the advance tab on that--under
virtual memory click change--check circle next to system
managed size, after you highlighted the drive at top,if
you have more than one,do them all like this--click OK--
OK--OK--Click restart for changes to take effect button.

Wrong.

Paging file settings are *inversely* related to the amount of RAM
installed in the computer. More RAM means less paging file and less
RAM means more paging file, provided all other factors remain
constant.
The best setting is usually,"have windows manage".

That part is okay.
