I have Windows 2000 and constantly get a message saying I
am short of virtual memory. My laptop has 129,968 Kb RAM -
paging file size for C: 192 -384, max registry size 35.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW CAN I EXPAND SAFELY THE VIRTUAL
MEMORY?

Hi

Virtual memory is also called as pageing file
read below link for information on page file

To Change page file size

Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
Double-click System.
Click the Advanced tab.
Click Performance Options.
Click Advanced
Go to virtual memory section
Click Change.
Click the drive on which you want to modify the paging file.
Type the appropriate values in the Initial Size and/or Maximum Size boxes,
and then click Set.
Click OK, click OK, and then click OK.

Most of the time increasing the page file size wont help you
You have to try to find out which application (process) is taking more
memory by going to task manager
