Virtual memory page file

After running Norton systems works defragment program,
there is a recurring error repeatedly, that the page file
is not large enough. I am only small programs like IE.

I have reset the Virtual memory page file to 1.5gig min
and 3 gig max, with 100mb for the registry.

After many restarts of the computer with these setting,
windows has only alocated 20mb for the virtual memory page
file. Even though the settings on the Virtual memory stay
as previously set.

I keep getting error messages that the vm page file is
being reallocated.

Any suggestions would be helpful.
 
Make sure that the System account (NT Authority) has full control of the
%systemdrive% and or the drive your trying to put the pagefile on. My
Computer|Drive|File|Properties|Security|Permissions

The system account (nt authority) is the operating system's account and
needs to have full control of the drive(s) the pagefile exists on.
