Virtual Machine 2004

I've just downloaded Microsoft Virtual Machine 2004 for free, and I'm installing SUSE 10 Linux on it as I type this

What a cracking bit of software:

Might install Windows 98 later on too, and give some old games a try!

I friend of mine was going on about VM a couple months ago totally raved abotu how good it was and I should try it. He tried to explain what it was all about but soon gave in after a while lol. Not my type of thing I dont think

Won't this mean many more people will use linux? I really want windows 98 so I can have a crack at black and white 1. How sad is that?

Funny you should mention that Ian. I read something about this the other day and asked in the Linux forum about it as i wanted to run linux but through windows. Might have a look at it, depending on how successful you are with it!! :-)

Bodhi, I couldn't get SUSE linux to run properly - but Ubuntu seems to be running no problem on it

Only on the MS site they say it only works with XP Pro

Yeah Virtual PC 2004 is great, 18.2MB in 32seconds, quite a fast download also
