Virgin Media Hubs

3 is supposed to be more reliable, but in reality they are all crap if you are an even slightly advanced user. If you just want WiFi and are not bothered about other things then they are usable.

Best option is to put it into modem mode and use your own router.

A little more about the network in question would help to give a better answer.
