violation sound occurs when clicking on link in IE page

I'm new IE6 and XP user and am running into browsing
trouble. When I click on a link inside a web page
a 'Clenched Fist' appears and an obnoxious sound blares.
This occures even inside this Microsoft Windows page.
When I clicked on 'Post' the same thing occurred. Can
anyone help me?
