Hi all,

If I create a show in PowerPoint XP, with the added animation features, will
it show properly in PowerPoint 2000?

thanks

Daniel

No, and yes. The presentation will show, but the new animations will not be
recognized and will just appear when the slide comes up. You have two
choices:

1. Use the free PowerPoint 2003 Viewer instead of PPT 2000, or,

2. Disable the new animations in XP (Tools, Options).

Many of the "animations" available in 2002/03 are not
available in 2000 and will not appear when run on 2000.
If you use the Package for CD option available in 2003
you can save your Pres to a file on your computer (or to
a CD to use on someone elses computer). Package for CD
automatically includes the new to PPT Viewer (and other
important files) on your CD so you can play the
animations as designed...on any PC.

No. If you want it to play properly in 2000, you should disable the new
features. Go to the Tools menu, choose Options, and click on the Edit
tab. Click the items listed under Disable New Features.
