Viewing TV on my computer

I have a Toshiba Satellite P20. I want to view my TV on it. I have recorded some video clips in a VHS and I want to convert them to mp3. How can I do that? Can you please help

To capture analog video you're going to have to purchase a hardware capture
device....
I can't find the P20 on the Toshiba site, but I sincerely doubt it has Video
In capability unless it's the Windows Media Center edition.

My understanding of your situation is that you will have to have a TV capture card or some other device, but I doubt if there is enough room in a Laptop.
