viewing pictures

when i click on the icon to view a photo nothing happens, when i go into a
photo folder the icon is there but no preview picture how can i fix this
 
1. Right click on a photo and click on Open with on the opening menu, then
click on Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Does the picture open? If not tell
us what happens, any error message?
2. Was it working before? If so, try the following:
Click on Start and click on Run and type in (or copy and paste) the
following in the textbox:
REGSVR32 SHIMGVW.DLL
and press the Enter key.
If you type this in, there is a space between ...32 and SHI..
After this runs, (a few seconds) try opening a photo.
If this does not work let us know what kind of message you get.

i did the same as u had advised ruby82 and lo and behold it worked .

Well, did you try the above suggestions?
If so, tell us what happens when you try them and we can then help further.
At this point, it is difficult for us to know what your problem is.
Also, posting under somebody else post is not a very effective way to get
attention. Start your own post so as may people as possible can help.
