viewing pictures in images folder

MS FrontPage 2000, Win9SE.

I want to have a clearout of old pictures, is there a quick way of viewing
the pictures in the images folder?

The free IrfanView will step through a directory of images.

Yes...in Windows (depending on your version) in the folder view, choose
"thumbnails" or "tiles" (in Win XP)....is that what you mean?
or try the "photo album" view.
 
....but make sure WinExplorer is set to not cache thumbnails - if it
does make a cache, you will have publishing difficulties.

Is WinExplorer the only viewer that creates the thumbs.db or would any viewer create the db if viewing images from outside FP?

Only via Windows Explorer or My Computer will they be created, as it is a new function of Windows
XP.

The best approach is to avoid looking at the content of the folder holding your web content outside
of FP with them or really any other application.

Kinda suspected something like that, cause I've used other viewers...like Irfanview or Photophilia...and never had thumbs.db created within fp (I know the risk :-) Probably safe it you keep your eyes peeled for their creation and delete them before you publish (?).
