I have two PCs running one with OL2002 and one with
OL2003. Both of them exhbit a fault where opening the
Outbox causes the last e-mail in the list to change from
Ready to send (i.e. header in Italics) to Unsent (Header
in normal). Any idea what causes this. I have another
machine with the same copy of OL2002 which doesn't do
this. I also have Norton Internet Securoty installed.
Could this be the problem? Thanks Phil G

This is because the message becomes marked as read either by opening it,
selecting another message while previewing or after you view it for several
seconds (depending on your Reading Pane settings)

When you rightclick the message and mark it as unread the message will be
italic again.

I understand the normal operation, but I don't have the
preview pane active on my Outbox and it happens without
opening the message. If you have the Outbox on screen,
create a message and press send, it drops into the Outbox
and immediately becomes "Unsent" without opening or
viewing. I do not understand why this happens. Thanks
anyway, Phil
