Viewing Office documents in IE 6

Can I disable the ability to edit and/or save Office documents being
displayed in IE 6?
I know there was a reader only version of PowerPoint at one time - do other
MS Office apps have similar counterparts?

Viewers for Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio are available for download at
the following url:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/results.aspx?freetext=office 2003 viewer

But I'm not sure they answer your question. If what you need is to
distribute documents on a Web site and prevent people from saving and
editing them on their computer, there is no way to force them to use the
viewers.
The solution then would be to use digital rights management to protect these
Office documents.
