viewing networking resources in my network places

Okay, I have asked this question before, but did not get a response. I am
asking it again, in the windows xp networking discussion area this time.

When I view the network resources in the my network places area (after
clicking on the my network places button). I see all the shared directories
that are on my network (there are probably 100 to 200 shared directories on
various workstations, servers, etc.).

What I would like to know is how can I reduce the number of resources that
are displayed on a particular workstation.

Thus lets day the user Harry only wants to see 5 to 10 specific resources in
his my network places area and the user iveta only wants to see 15 or so
specific network resources in the my network place area.

So How do I have the users see only certain network resources?

Also for my second question, when I installed a few windows XP workstations,
some printers that were not shared out became shared on the network and the
users of the non shared printers did not want to have to remove their
printers as shared resources through out the network. Why would windows xp
start to share a printer that I as a user listed as a non sharing printer?

Have Harry and Iveta disable the function that puts shares into My
Network Places:

1. Click Tools.
2. Click Folder Options.
3. Click View.
4. Un-check "Automatically search for network folders and printers".

Tell them to right-click and delete shortcuts to shares that they
don't want.

Have them use "Add a network place" to create shortcuts to shares that
they want.
Also for my second question, when I installed a few windows XP workstations,

Running the Network Setup Wizard on a computer automatically shares
its printers.
