In Windows Explorer, can I see 2 subfolders simultaneously on the directory
tree with their parent folders collapsed?

In a single Windows Explorer windows, that's not do-able.

You can manage to do it with running 2 instances (copies) of Windows Explorer.
Example: Bring up Windows Explorer. In the address bar, type in the drive location & folder (path) in the Address.
such as C:\Parent\Child-folder-name

Then resize the window either horizontally or vertically so you can see enough.

Bring up another Windows Explorer (from start menu). Repeat above for the next folder-location.
