In Windows 98 there was an option called "view folders as
a web page". When you went into a folder, the files were
on the right of the folder. If you held your pointer over
a file, it showed you a thumbnail picture on the left.

I just got Windows XP and can't find where that is an
option anymore. Does anyone know if this is possible in
Windows XP or is it gone forever:*(

Yes, its possible in XP. In Windows Explorer go to Tools, Folder Options,
General tab and select Show Common Tasks in Folders.

It's on by default. It called common tasks and apart from the name change it is in the exact same position as 98 - Tools - Folder Options - Show Common Tasks
