Viewing calendar months

Two items that I can't figure out regarding the monthly calendar. The
two small preview calendars that appear in the top right over my tasks
when I'm in the month view keep disappearing, along with my tasks. I
have to go to the far right with my cursor and drag left to get them
to show again. But when I got to a daily view and then BACK to a
month view, the month expands to take up the entire screen and I lose
the tasks and mini-months again. How can I make it stick?

Also, how can I view months a month at a time, say like the way Palm
Desktop does. In Outlook 2002, despite the gray shading, it's
confusing to always know what month I'm in. I want the first week of
December, for instance to always be on top. This seems like it would
be a pretty called for ability. Is it in there somewhere?

Many thanks.

For your first question, the date navigator (small calendars) and TaskPad
don't like to stick open in Month view in Outlook 2002 and earlier. Outlook
2003 seems to have changed this.

For the second question, there's no yearly view in Outlook like in Palm
Desktop, except for the date navigator which you can expand to show 12
months of mini calendars.

When you say, "date navigator (small calendars) and TaskPad
don't like to stick open in Month view in Outlook 2002", I take that
to me they just won't stay open and there's nothing I can do about,
unless I'm missing something in your reply. Thanks.

Also my second question was not about viewing years, but viewing a
month at a time on the screen, where the beginning of the month was
always on the top of the screen. When I use the navigator to move to
the next month, start of the month may or not be on the top of the
screen, depending on the number of weeks in the months. It makes it
hard to see at a glance what month I am in.

You're not missing anything -- I don't know of any way to force the Date
Navigator and TaskPad to stay open in Month view in Outlook 2002, sorry.

Also, you're right, Outlook is weird about not always showing the first few
days of the month at the top of the window. I don't know the reasoning
behind this -- perhaps someone else will chime in if they know why it works
that way.

Do you know of a way to force Date Navigator to stay open in the DAY view of
the calendar. I lost mine and can't get it back now matter which View I try
to use.

Hmm, I've never had that happen...what version of Outlook?
