Viewing binary data files

I have copies floppies to my C Drive but am unable to
open them. They seem to be binary data files. How can I
view & run these files?

What are the file extensions ? Or what programs were used to create them ?
Binary covers lots of different file types, some opened only with certain
programs. Too long to list all possibilities here. But .gif and .jpg should
open with Picture and Fax viewer; most audio types should open with Media
Player.
