viewing availability on Outlook

Hi,

When scheduling a meeting, Outlook only allows me to view availability two
months out - availability is 'greyed' out from September forward. I heard
that there is a way/outlook trick to work around this and view future
'free-busy' time more than a few months ahead.

Any help/advice would be appreciated! Thanks.

Depending on your Outlook version:
Open your TOOLS menu
Select OPTIONS
On the "Preferences" tab click the CALENDAR OPTIONS... button
Click the FREE/BUSY OPTIONS button
Change the default Publishing Months from 2 to 12.

This will now show 11 months ahead and 1 month prior of your
free/busy information to others who with to view it.

Hi Nikki,
Thanks for your help! So basically, I would have to ask others to follow the
process below to publish their availability so I could view it when
scheduling a meeting?

Yes. You may want to speak to your Administrators (if you are not one) and
ask them if they can change this globally or in the next image they use to do
their Outlook installations. The 2 months is just the default that is set on
the Outlook installation.

When you log in to the Exchange Server this information is transferred to
the server and then others can see as much as you have published (up to 12
months).
