This just started today. Running IE6sp1 under XP HE SP!. When I click
on a link in a web site the second browser opens but never loads the
page. This happens with every page I visit now when it never happened
before.

In advanced options in the browser I have "reuse windows for launching
shortcuts" checked which I always had. I unchecked it to see if that
was causing the problem but still, I click a link, ie.: in Sony's web
page, another browser opens, as always did, but the page never opens.

I must have done something to cause this because as I said it never
happened until today.

Than you in advance for a solution to this problem!

Try this:
1. Quit all programs that are running.
2. Click Start, and then click Run.
3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded"
message, click OK.

If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of
the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file
names below):
Shdocvw.dll
Msjava.dll
Actxprxy.dll
Oleaut32.dll
Mshtml.dll
Browseui.dll
Shell32.dll (Windows XP and Windows 2000 only)

If nothing works, take a look at these:

Hope this helps,

Debbie you're the best :-)

I did as you instructed by doing the urlmon one first and that did not
fix the problem. So I did all the rest of the .dll's that you listed
and the problem was solved. I didn't check for the problem after
regsrvr'ing each dll so I don't actually know which one was causing
the problem but that is secondary and I am glad it is fixed.

Again Debbie, than you very much for the solution and the quick
reply!!

I'm glad it worked! And you're welcome ;-)
