viewer crashes

Running WinXP home. Whenever I pull up my image files in either winexplorer
or mycomputer, when leaving after viewing my machine goes into a total crash
with Start button not working, icons not working, so far only escape is to
turn off the switch and restart. Any ideas.

Just wondering...do you have Adobe PhotoShop/Elements
or Replay TV Software installed?

PhotoShop 6.0, but this is a recent development and I have had PhotoShop
installed for almost 5 months.

Try this...right click on a .jpg file and choose
Properties. Click the Photoshop Image tab
and uncheck the "Generate Thumbnails" button,
then click OK.
