View the size of a directory

Is it possible that when you are inside a directory to see how big the
directory is? Right now I can only see how many items and how much free disk
space there is on the drive. In Windows XP I also could see how big the
directory was without mark all the files or right click and check the
properties. I have checked but I havent find anyway to fix this

Just out of curiosity, are you really interested in the size of the
directory (i.e. how much space the directory entries actually occupy) or
the size of the directory contents (i.e. how much data is actually
occupied by all the files in the directory)?

Same ways in Vista as in XP:

1. Right-click the folder and choose Properties.

2. Ctrl-A to select all and it will show you on the Status Bar (make
sure View|Status Bar is checked.)

Hitting Ctrl-A doesn't work after choosing Properties.

Besides, she's inside the folder. All she has to do is right-click in
an open space and choose Properties.

just move the mouse hover the folder and you'll see its size in a yellow
tool tip
 
Im interested in the size of the content

Thats one way, but in XP if you didnt have any files marked I could se the
size of the content in the same place as if I press ctrl+A.

If I´m in the directory tree and have for example 15 directories with files
and I fast want to see the size of the content I could just click on the
folder to the left and down right it would say the size. Too ctrl+A or to
click properties will take too long

I didn't say it did. I said "same *ways* (plural) as in XP. I
mentioned two ways. Number two is separate from number one.
