I know this is probably a stupid question but I just got a new computer and
am new to the xp. I went to try to view my system resources which I used to
be able to do by right clicking the my computer icon and clicking on the
resource tab which in the xp is no longer there could someone tell me how to
wiew that in xp.

The closest equivalent is to hit ctrl-alt-delete to bring up Task Manager
and go to the processes tab. Resources are managed differently in XP than
in 9x. NOTE: in the process list, you will see System Idle Process showing
CPU usage in the 90 percentile, that is normal and as it should be.

Michael you are a God Send that is exactly what I was looking for and I knew
I had seen it yesterday but I could not find it again for the life of me.
Thank you so much!!

The term System Resources, in Windows 9x and Me, referred to a
particular data structure that doesn't exist in Windows XP.

That's one of XP's many improvements over 9X. There are no System
Resources to run out of or to be concerned with.
