Clicking 'View Source' does nothing. Tried clearing TIF files and removing
Notepad shortcut. Have Forefox on board and I can view source codes with it,
but not IE. This problem also appeared when 'Save As' only allowed a pic to
be saved as a BMP. There is something going on besides the TIF and shortcut
abaritions. Would be nice if MS would address this as it seems to be a very
common problem that is only getting band-aid help.

Hi,
Try clearing the Temporary Internet Files again. Also, delete Offline
Content when that box pops.

Workarounds are fine except that this problem is tied to another problem and
I would rather find the source of the problem rather than put a band-aid on
it. I have also found that some workarounds create other problems, this one
is probably not in that class as it is really not changing anything. There
has to be a cause!

Also, if you have a shortcut to Notepad on your desktop rename it to Npad.

Some people have reported that Quick View Plus can cause this.

or

Restore Source View

Backup your registry before modifying

Search the registry (Start>run..type in "regedit" without the quotes> press
OK, The search for the DWORD "noviewsource".(without the quotes)

If that exists, delete it or set it to 0.
