View Slide Show on Web

I believe this question has been asked and answered, but I cannot get it to
work. I uploaded the entire folder for the slide show from PowerPoint 2000
my web page (including the html for full screen viewing). I still cannot
figure out how to link to the slide show from the home page, or which
file(s) should be linked to in order to run the show. Sorry for the
repetition, but something not "connecting" here. Thanks. CarolT

PS. I am using Windows XP and Dreamweaver, but I don't think that should
make a difference. Everything loaded fine.

When you created your presentation as a webpage you created a file called
your_presentation_name.html and a folder called your_presentation_name_files
What you need to do is upload the file and the folder to your site, and
create a link from your homepage to www.yoursite/your_presentation_name.html

That worked well. However, I still have the frame box on the left side, and
the slides have to be clicked individually instead of advancing on their own
as the slide show was set up to do. A little more help would be
appreciated. Thanks so much. CarolT

Check your Publish to Web settings.

In PPT 2000 it's Tools, Options, General tab.
Click Web Options
Again, go to the General tab (in the web options dialog box)

There are options that control slide navigation. Experiment with those.

I am just a user, not an expert. I think that on the Powerpoint web page,
there is an icon of a screen on the right hand side at the bottom.
When users click on that, it goes on full screen slide show mode with the
transition and animation effects.
It is a good idea to explain this to your web site visitors so that they
have the choice to view your slides from the menu on the left,
or by clicking on the forward arrows, or in full screen.
